Delete Your Account
You can delete your Gain account at any time. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to Delete Your Account
- Open the Gain app and go to Settings.
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Once confirmed, your account will be closed immediately. All personal data associated with your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days, unless legal retention obligations apply. You will be logged out and will no longer be able to sign in.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
Personal Data
- Name, email address, and profile picture
- Authentication ID (Auth0)
- Body weight history
- Nutrition tracking data and barcode scans
- Step count and sleep data
- Training logs and workout history
- Form check photos and videos
- Messages with your coach
- Diet phase data and nutrition targets
- Weight change rate settings
- Coach notes about you
- Custom tracking fields and entries
- HealthKit / Health Connect data
- Push notification tokens
Authentication Data
Authentication data stored with our identity provider (Auth0) is deleted as part of the account deletion process.
Technical Data
- Sentry diagnostic logs (automatically deleted within 90 days)
Backup Data
Encrypted system backups may temporarily retain deleted data for security purposes. Backups are automatically overwritten within 30 days and are not actively processed.
Deletion Timeline
- Account closure: Immediate
- Data deletion: Up to 30 days
- Sentry diagnostic logs: Automatically deleted within 90 days
